Pump Technician III – All Locations
The Pump Technician III is an advanced-level role focused on leadership, training, and quality assurance. This position requires mastery of pump systems, electrical troubleshooting, and field leadership. Pump Technicians III provide day-to-day instruction and mentoring to Pump Technicians I and II, direct teams in jobsite setup and teardown, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. They serve as technical experts and customer-facing leaders for E-Tank’s operations.
Pump Technician III is a leadership-level role, serving as a role model for safety, quality, and customer service. Successful performance may lead to advancement into supervisory roles such as Shop Foreman, Operations Manager, or specialized technical positions within the
company.
Type
Full-Time, Hourly, Must be available to work assigned shifts, with flexibility for overtime, weekends, and emergency call-ins. Participation in the on-call rotation is required.
Location
Branch-based with extensive fieldwork and customer-facing responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
• Actively promote and lead E-Tank’s Safety Culture.
• Ensure teams follow PPE, Lock Out/Tag Out, and jobsite safety standards.
• Conduct safety inspections and enforce compliance with regulations.
Leadership & Team Development
• Provide day-to-day instruction, mentoring, and training to Pump Tech I and II employees.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality control and safety standards.
• Direct teams through setup, operation, and teardown of job sites.
Advanced Technical Operations
• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on pumps, priming systems, centrifugal systems, and electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair advanced engine and trailer-related issues.
• Demonstrate mastery of pump curves to resolve performance issues.
• Execute field-level change orders and project adjustments.
Customer & Operational Impact
• Act as a subject matter expert for customers and branch staff.
• Align job performance with branch operational and financial goals.
• Promote cooperation and communication across branch and corporate teams.
Desired Experience
• Advanced-level technical and diagnostic expertise with pumps and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in Pipe Fusion and advanced troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams.
• Physically able to lift up to 100 lbs and perform strenuous daily tasks.
• Strong leadership, safety, and customer-service orientation.
