In a rural community, a sudden flow of fertilizer from the surrounding grounds began seeping into a healthy stream, contaminating the water and impacting the oxygen necessary to support life. This posed an immediate and significant threat to wildlife living downstream, and the Emergency Response Contractor contacted E-Pump for rental pumps and hose.
Our vac assist high flow pumps were placed on a bridge above the stream to pick up water and spray it back in, which aerated and re-oxygenated it for the aquatic life. E-Pump’s expertise was particularly useful in pumping water over a large vertical expanse from stream to bridge. E-Pump’s rapid deployment helped the ER contractor respond on a timely basis with effective actions. The pumps ran 24/7 for two weeks and ultimately, successfully helped alleviate the threat.
