Numerous major manufacturing concerns rely on our ability to quickly and efficiently provide quality, reliable equipment for various maintenance processes. One steel mill facility regularly requires several 21000-gallon frac tanks, 4” and 6” vac assist pumps, and hose for pumping sludge and metal fines.
In the steel-making process, slag collects and settles at the bottom of a large collection basin. The process of cleaning the basin involves a commercial diver moving along the bottom, vacuuming up the slag with a suction hose. That’s where E-Tank and E-Pump have a role to play. The collected slag is pumped up into a series of our rental frac tanks for dewatering a sump containing sludge and metal fines, where water is then pumped off the top and treated for further use. What remains in the tanks is then sucked up and hauled away by a vac truck.
