E-Pump, being experienced in custom-designed environmental remediation solutions, designed and installed a vapor recovery system to clarify the air displaced from the containment system of volatile gasoline vapors.
In this project, an industrial services contractor was using nitrogen displacement to purge a gasoline pipeline. The contractor called E-Tank for a temporary storage system to contain 23,000 gallons of gasoline. But the project plan raised safety issues. The contractor needed to mitigate the risk of stray gasoline vapors igniting due to onsite personnel performing hot work. The solution was to prevent gasoline vapors from being exposed to the atmosphere. This required a specialized equipment configuration.
E-Pump, being experienced in custom-designed environmental remediation solutions, designed and installed a vapor recovery system to clarify the air displaced from the containment system of volatile gasoline vapors. The system configuration comprised two 72 ft³ vapor phase filtration vessels, three mini fracs, and a manifold system with petroleum-rated flexible hose complete with secondary spill containment. The filtration vessels were sized to accommodate the maximum designed air volume displacement and charged with a custom blend of granular activated carbon and aluminosilicate impregnated with potassium permanganate to safely remove the dangerous fumes. Once again E-Tank & E-Pump deployed a creative solution to deliver optimal results and mitigate safety risks.
Our dedication to safety, customer service, and environmental stewardship is, and always will be, unparalleled.
